Taper reads your recovery every morning and texts you exactly what to do today. No app. No dashboard. Show up to race day trained, not trashed.

Recovery 34% and HRV down 18ms. Today's threshold ride becomes 45min Z2. The fitness is in the recovery, not the ride you force.
Green light. 91% recovered. Today's brick: 40mi at 165 to 175W, then 3mi off the bike at 8:45s. Fuel at minute 40.
This is where most first-timers panic-train. You will not. Volume drops 20% this week by design.
Whoop, Garmin, or Apple Watch. Two minutes, once. Taper reads your sleep, HRV, and strain overnight.
Every morning, one text: what to do today, calibrated to how you actually recovered. Before you've had coffee.
Travel day? Sore knee? Text back. Taper reshuffles your week and protects the sessions that matter.
Training apps fight for your attention. Taper doesn't need it. Your plan lives in the same thread as your mom and your group chat, which is why you'll actually follow it.
This is launch pricing. Waitlist members lock the founding rate of $10/month instead, for life.
Is this a real coach or AI?
AI, and we say so plainly. Taper is built on the same model behind Claude, reads your actual recovery data every morning, and was calibrated by coaching its founder to his first 70.3. No human coach reviews your plan, which is exactly why it costs $24 instead of $200.
What if I don't have a Whoop?
The founding cohort is Whoop-first. Garmin and Apple Watch support are next on the roadmap, and joining the waitlist with your race date helps us prioritize.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, by text. Reply STOP and the messages end. Monthly plans stop billing at the period end, and the Race Block is one-time with no renewal.
What happens after my race?
You recover properly, which Taper coaches too. Then either pick your next race or drop to a $9/month maintenance mode that keeps the morning text going at base-season volume.
When does it launch?
The founding cohort of 25 opens after race day, July 19. Waitlist members get first invites in order of signup.
I'm Owen. The pipeline behind Taper has been reading my Whoop and texting me every morning through this entire training block. On July 19 it takes me to the start line of IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio. The race recap, good or bad, gets published here. That's the product working in public.
Joining the waitlist locks the founding rate: $10/month for life instead of $24. First cohort is limited to 25 athletes, invited in signup order after July 19.
By saving your spot, you agree to receive texts from Taper about your waitlist place and launch. One confirmation text, then nothing until the cohort opens. Reply STOP anytime, HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We never sell your number. Privacy policy.
