Is this a real coach or AI?

AI, and we say so plainly. Taper is built on the same model behind Claude, reads your actual recovery data every morning, and was calibrated by coaching its founder to his first 70.3. No human coach reviews your plan, which is exactly why it costs $24 instead of $200.

What if I don't have a Whoop?

The founding cohort is Whoop-first. Garmin and Apple Watch support are next on the roadmap, and joining the waitlist with your race date helps us prioritize.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, by text. Reply STOP and the messages end. Monthly plans stop billing at the period end, and the Race Block is one-time with no renewal.

What happens after my race?

You recover properly, which Taper coaches too. Then either pick your next race or drop to a $9/month maintenance mode that keeps the morning text going at base-season volume.

When does it launch?

The founding cohort of 25 opens after race day, July 19. Waitlist members get first invites in order of signup.

I built Taper to coach me to my own first 70.3.

I'm Owen. The pipeline behind Taper has been reading my Whoop and texting me every morning through this entire training block. On July 19 it takes me to the start line of IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio. The race recap, good or bad, gets published here. That's the product working in public.
